Experience has proven that learning this profession takes time and most of all experience. For
this reason, students will complete an internship before being allowed to work cases for a fee. There are no exceptions
to this rule.
Upon completion of the experiential training weeks, the rookie K9 handler will be given an assignment
list that will include a prerequisite number of cases that must be completed prior to accreditation. Each case will
be evaluated from start to finish and when possible the new Pet Detective will call Karin prior to leaving
or completing the case. This insures that even during the no fee training cases, pet owners will be assured
that everything has been done to find and locate their pet in accordance with the case circumstances. Other requirements maybe applied based on the individuals evaluation at the end of the second week
of on site training.
Upon completion of the No Fee case load, Karin will arrange the Final Examination and evaluation. Every
attempt will be made to have this final exam occur in or near the home state.
